Our Jungian analyst;
Begüm Gürses-Sulzer

After gaining a strong education in business in the United States and Switzerland, Begüm began her professional career at global financial institutions such as Citigroup and UBS.

As she became increasingly interested in the hidden dynamics of the high-paced work environment, she began exploring the field of psychology, which led her to discover the works of C.G. Jung and ultimately to the ISAP Zurich, the world's leading full-time training program in Jungian psychology.

In 2015, Begüm made the bold decision to embark on analyst training.

Throughout her 8 years at ISAP, Begüm has held paid positions at a number of prestigious organizations. One of her most notable experiences was at IMD Business School in Lausanne, a pioneering institution in the field of executive education. IMD has long recognized the importance of self-awareness as a foundation for leadership and, as such, pairs all incoming MBA students with a Jungian therapist to work on a self-discovery module throughout their time at the school. For two years, Begüm worked closely with these students, helping them to anchor their leadership style.

Begüm also held a formative role at The Kusnacht Practice in Zurich, the world's most exclusive rehabilitation center. As a full-time live-in counselor for two years, she worked with a highly demanding and affluent clientele, accompanying many senior executives on their recovery journeys and gaining unique insights into the challenges faced by professionals in high-pressure work environments.

“In our pursuit of a fulfilling and successful career, meaning provides us with the drive to begin, the motivation to persist, and the satisfaction of accomplishment.”
With a Bachelor's degree in Economics from ITU and SUNY New Paltz and a Master's degree in Actuarial Science from HEC Lausanne, Begüm is a highly educated and multilingual individual, fluent in English, French and Turkish, and currently learning German.
She has lived in Istanbul, New York, Lausanne and Zurich, and brings a wealth of cultural diversity to her coaching practice. In her free time, Begüm is an animal lover and proud parent to cats Fiona and Alistair. She also enjoys detective stories and a good sense of humour.
